The Circus is an historic group of townhouses, shaped into a circle. Together with the nearby Royal Crescent, it was designed by John Wood the Elder and is considered a prime example of Georgian architecture. The shot below is from THIS person, it's probably the best view you can get from a camera that will show what truly makes this a special place. Anything on the ground only shows a small portion, as you'll see from my later photos:
A and I walked a few blocks from the museums celebrating two amazing women to the Circus. It was a really unique experience, especially for fans of architecture. It's constructed of Bath Stone (a special limestone), and has some Masonic emblems. Several of the houses were harmed during the Bath Blitz, but have been restored. There are a few small differences between some of the exteriors.
