For an anniversary trip, J and I went to Stillwater, MN. I'd read about a bed and breakfast named the Rivertown Inn. Each room is decorated to match books and stylings of different authors. J and our daughter A are both huge fans of Agatha Christie novels, and so I reserved us the Agatha Christie Grand Suite.
The bedroom and entryway are styled like a Pullman car, a la Murder on the Orient Express. The bathroom is styled in Egyptian stylings like Death on the Nile. Here are some of the photos I took of the B&B:
We spent a lot of time wandering around town, but maybe the most fun activity was a candlemaking workshop at the spooky Carpe Noctem Candle Co. We got to pick and/or create our own scents, and then pour our own candles. A few photos:
